Adrianne Marie Curry (born on August 6, 1982 in Joliet, Illinois) is an American model, most famous for winning the first season of America's Next Top Model.
At 5'10½", the green-eyed beauty worked as a waitress at Hooters before winning ANTM. While on ANTM, Curry had a unique drive to win the competition. She gained the respect of many judges when she showed up to elimination, while she was battling food poisoning.
Curry appeared on VH1's 4th season of The Surreal Life with Da Brat, Chyna, Jane Wiedlin, Christopher Knight, Verne Troyer, and Marcus Schenkenberg. During the season, Curry and Knight began dating and then moved in with each other. On September 11, 2005, VH1 began airing My Fair Brady—a show that documented their life together. Knight proposed to Curry on the season finale of the show, which premiered November 6, 2005. The show has been renewed for a second season, which will focus on their wedding preparations. The second season will begin being aired on VH1 in May 2006.
On an October 3, 2005 broadcast of the Opie and Anthony radio show, Curry discussed her bisexuality and revealed numerous past relationships with women. Adrianne is featured in a nude pictorial in the February 2006 issue of Playboy magazine (U.S. version).
Adrianne is an animal lover. She has several animals including a tarantula, two dogs and a black cat named Ziggy Stardust. She also does volunteer work to help sick and rescued animals.
For winning ANTM, Adrianne believed she would receive a "big" Revlon contract. In an interview with www.PR.com, she said the contract did not end up being what she expected. "We were told throughout the taping of the show that the winner would have a huge cosmetics deal with Revlon," she said. "Billboards, magazines and all that wonderful fun stuff. What ended up happening was, I found out later on when I was waiting around for this deal that never showed up… I was told that it was just convention work. There had been a deal already arranged before they even picked out the contestants of the show that it would not be a big contract, but that it would just be this thing. They weren't even sure if the show would make it on the air, let alone be a smash success and then into this cult phenomenon. To be in season one of America's Next Top Model was fabulous because we were the first, but it was also a great learning experience."
Currently, Curry is a co-host on the television game show Ballbreakers.
